About

I have always been interested in the human body and I wanted to make a profession that would allow me to help people. My encounter with osteopathy was made by chance, and as I was studying, I realized how much this profession suited me. For me, it is a mix between science, since it requires a detailed knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, and intuition, listening to the patient’s tissues, which is what allows each session to be different since each person has a distinct morphology and history.

I graduated in osteopathy in 2006 from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Maidstone, England, one of the first osteopathy schools in Europe.

I then worked in the South of England in private and public practices, before settling in the Barcelona region.

What I like about my profession is that it allows me to deal with a wide variety of people, from newborns to the elderly, with a diversity of professional, sports, artistic and emotional profiles, which means that, even if two people present themselves with the same symptom, the approach and treatment will always be different.

I am now the mother of three girls, and experiencing motherhood has led me to delve even deeper into the field of perinatal osteopathy (follow-up of women during pregnancy and postpartum) and pediatric osteopathy, treatment of newborns, and accompaniment in breastfeeding (after the birth of my first daughter, I trained as a lactation consultant and include this knowledge in my sessions to help mothers achieve the breastfeeding they wish).

development of a session

During the first session, a detailed interview is conducted in which questions are asked about the person’s symptoms at the time of the consultation, but also about their medical history and life context.

Then, a complete physical examination of the body is done, to identify the different areas of stiffness and dysfunctions.

The osteopathic diagnosis allows to determine the cause that produces the injury or dysfunction. Osteopathy does not only treat the symptom (pain) but goes deeper, delving into correcting the origin of the problem.

The aim of the sessions is to restore mobility in each part of the body, thus allowing optimal blood flow and giving the body the best conditions to recover its balance and health.

Osteopathic treatment seeks to correct the origin of the problem, treating dysfunctions of the spinal column, joints, muscles, visceral fascia and skull. It seeks to recover body balance, reactivating itsself-healing mechanisms with various therapeutic techniques: joint and muscle manipulations, functional, visceral and cranial techniques.

Each treatment is uniquer and a personal approach is always followed.
